Companion Care
At the core of who Grace At Home Care is to allow people to remain independent and thrive in their own home. Our loving experienced professional caregivers provide our clients with stimulating and enjoyable activities and building healthy relationships to improve the quality of their lives.
Our companion service can be extremely beneficial for a senior’s overall well-being; they thrive from interaction and socialization. The focus on socialization to prevent isolation is particularly impactful, as seniors often thrive in a supportive and engaging environment.
When working with our agency you can be confident that all our caregivers are highly trained, licensed, bonded, and insured, and have passed a detailed background check.
We are committed to implementing and incorporating stimulating and enjoyable activities building healthy relationships into our companion care services to improve the quality of our client’s life.
Here is a list of a few of the components of our Companion Care program:
Physical Health – Seniors who do not feel comfortable or motivated to exercise/walk can often be more willing to engage in physical activity with the guidance and encouragement of a caregiver. The adage that a body in motion stays in motion and a body at rest stays at rest is so true with seniors.
Emotional Health – Being isolated can cause depression and anxiety. Being able to socialize with a caregiver can improve a person’s mood and emotional health.
Memory – We’ve all heard the saying that the mind is like a muscle; use Emotional Health - it or lose it. Increased socialization, stimulation, and engagement is critical to a senior’s cognitive health
